Fragmentation Poster Series

"Fragmentation occurs when type and image disturb or disrupt one another, usually with one providing the impetus for activating the state of flux."

—Nancy Skolos

In this assignment for my Typography II class, we were challenged with creating a series of event posters utilizing the concept of "Fragmentation" as defined by Nancy Skolos in her book Type, Image, Message. I used the forms in the background image to disrupt and break-up the text. I wanted to create visual interest through the use of fragmentation, while maintaining legibility and functionality.
